The use of macrophyte plants to purify water for its later use, is the only technology that has no energy consumption. The FMF (Floating Macrophyte Filter) is totally respectful with the environment and counts with international recognition. In the World Summit of Kyoto 2003, it was finalist for the price Actions for water.
